Well Hello there! It's been a minute. Two whole months actually, and we have truly missed you! We've taken this time to work on our online shop and we're finally ready to launch! We are excited to be back at it again, even if it's in a slightly different way. Yes, we've heard the announcements about shops being allowed to open to customers but we're thinking beyond that right now. We're thinking about you and how you like to shop in our space and we're thinking about us, and how we'd like to work. We know that we cannot provide the same experiences we were able to before this pandemic. Times are changing and we are evolving with them. In the time we've been closed, we've been able to think about what matters most to us when it comes to our little vintage shop and we think we can still follow our mandate to promote vintage lifestyle and design without being open to customers for the next little while.
We'll be launching the web shop in phases with the first phase starting this Friday. On Friday, we will post a selection of non-vintage staples that we know you've come to love and a few new pieces. This will include your favourite Baltic Club and Woodlot candles and a new line of ceramics we received during quarantine (read to the end for more details)! Following this, we will start doing weekly themed product drops on Wednesdays (the goal is lofty, we know!). Next week's theme is PINK so GET EXCITED!!!
We have implemented new shop policies to adapt to our new method of sales. For most items the return policy remains the same (sales are final), however, you can now exchange clothing items for a store credit as long as you notify the shop within 7 days of receiving your purchase. We have also updated our shipping policy to make it easier to shop online. Read all about our new shop policies here.
Local Ottawa customers can take advantage of free porch pick-ups which will be available on Fridays between 11am and 5pm. You can also arrange porch pick-ups by appointment. Simply choose this option when you check-out and shipping will be free.
We do envision opening the shop to customers eventually, but this is likely going to be in a different format than we did before.
On our design services side we are busier than ever and so thankful that we are able to work from home for the most part. We'll be posting some new photos soon and you will start to see more items for sale from some of our staging projects and vendors that we have come to love through our design projects. Some of these items will not be vintage items, but we'll be sure to make it clear what's vintage and whats not on our listings.
We're so thankful to still be here after months of being closed. Here is some more information on our newest line of ceramics which will go live on Friday.
Bettina Westwood Ceramics
Bettina Westwood Ceramics is based in Toronto, ON and strives to achieve contemporary forms for everyday use that reflect modern slow living. Her speckled glaze works beautifully with vintage pieces and complements our popular Woodlot home products such as Palo Santo and Mayan Copal Incense. The soft forms of her bud vases easily incorporate into our favourite decor styles of Scandinavian, Mid-century modern, and Bohemian. Here are the four products we will be launching on Friday.
